A meeting of officials was held for Muharram in Pratapgarh.
The administration has completed its preparations to ensure peaceful celebration of Muharram festival in Pratapgarh. To ensure the festival is celebrated, the DM has divided the district into 23 zones and 82 sectors. He has appointed officers of different departments as zonal and sector magistrates.

The 10-day long Moharram festival will conclude with the burial of the Tazia on Wednesday. Its special procession will be taken out during the day on the ninth and tenth Wednesday. The administration has completed preparations for the convenience and security of the crowd that gathers during Moharram.

Deployment of PAC personnel
23 zonal and 82 sector magistrates have been nominated across the district for the security of the Tajiadars and the crowd involved in the procession from the city to the rural areas. Apart from this, PAC personnel have been deployed along with the police force. The officers and force personnel will keep an eye on the Tajiadars and the crowd involved in the procession.
Separate deployment for Karbala
On the tenth day of Muharram, processions originating from different places reach Karbala and bury the Tazia. For this, separate magistrates and force personnel have been deployed at Karbala by the administration.
