Amidst the rumours of Moharram procession in Sambhal, DM-SP issued their statement saying that Moharram processions will be taken out under the instructions of the government. He said that no wire will be cut for Moharram procession. Also, Moharram festival will be celebrated in a peaceful environment.

Let us tell you that tomorrow on 17th July, Moharram procession will be organized in the entire state including Sambhal. Before the Moharram procession, the police administration has held a meeting with the Taziadars under the government order and directed them to take out 10 feet long Tazia. SDM-CO in all the police stations of Sambhal and DM-SP at the headquarters held separate meetings with the Taziadars. They were informed about the government order.

DM-SP issued letter

Let us tell you that regarding the Moharram procession, SP MP Ziaur Rahman Barq and MLA Iqbal Mahmood had met DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia and SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat besides Moradabad DIG Muniraj ji and Commissioner Anjen Kumar Singh. SP MLA Iqbal Mahmood had met the DGP and apprised him of the entire matter. The MP had also written a letter to the Chief Minister, DGP and Principal Secretary.

On Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock, suddenly, citing the High Court’s order, rumours started spreading among the people that the height of the Tajias would be kept as before. Along with cutting the wires, there was also talk of the lights being switched off. Regarding which the DM-SP issued a letter.
Orders not to increase the height of Tajis

In which it was said that in order of the High Court order, a notice of permission received was issued to the petitioner Altaf. Even after receiving the said notice, the petitioner did not present any evidence regarding the said permissions. While referring to the video conferencing held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, it was said that the height of the Tazias should not be too high. At the same time, unnecessary oversized Tazias that can cause accidents should not be included in the procession.

Action against those who disrupt law and order

Moharram Committee chief Rafiq Rahi Sambhali said that only 10 feet tall tazias will be taken out as per the government’s order. The rumours that are being spread that the stay has been granted, I deny them. I will be present in the procession on Wednesday. I will join the procession as per the government’s order.

SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said that the Moharram procession should be taken out according to the government guidelines given for the Moharram festival in Sambhal. The height of the Tajias should be the same as the height of the wire. No wire will be cut in any way. This will be followed by everyone. No rumor of any kind should be spread by anyone. If anyone disturbs the law and order, strict legal action will be taken against him.

DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia requested all the Taziadars to maintain law and order during tomorrow’s Moharram. The Tazias will be kept up to the height of the wires as per the government’s instructions and will not exceed that. No kind of rumour should be spread in Sambhal.
