People saw the body of a young man lying on the roadside near the primary school near village Samaichipur on Nawabganj Achara road. On getting the information, a crowd of people gathered on the spot. Local people informed the police station about the incident. Sub-inspector Santosh Kumar, Indrajit Pate Singh, Girish Kumar who arrived with the police force took information from the people and got the body identified.

Village Salempur’s Chowkidar Qurban Ali identified the body as that of 40-year-old Ashok Jatav, a resident of village Veerpur. On the information provided by the Chowkidar, the police processed the Panchnama of the body and sent it to the mortuary.

People told the police that Ashok Jatav was a drug addict. Ashok was living with his wife and two children in his in-laws’ village in Shahjahanpur’s Jalalabad area. He has a brother Mahima Chandra. Ashok had come alone to the village from his in-laws’ house two days ago. Sub-inspector Santosh Kumar said that the body has been identified. On the information of the watchman, the Panchnama of the body has been prepared and sent to the mortuary. Efforts are being made to contact his family members.
