The transformer of a village in Kishani area of Mainpuri has been out of order for the last 6 days, due to which the entire village is in darkness. Due to which the villagers are facing problems. The villagers protested near the transformer and demanded a protest from the electricity department.

The matter is related to Majra Nagla Keval of Gram Panchayat Basait of which development block, where the villagers demonstrated against the transformer that had blown up 6 days ago in their village. The villagers allege that they had complained to the lineman and the engineer of their area about the breakdown of many wards’ transformers but no one listened to them. It is the rainy season. There is darkness in the entire village. There are fields around the village from which there is a danger of poisonous creatures entering the village. Earlier kerosene was available for burning but now that is also not available, now people are taking the help of mustard oil lamp for light only.
There is no hearing even after complaining
They complained to the electricity department officials several times but their complaints were not heard, due to which they had to resort to protest. Among the protesters, many people including Alok Dubey, Radhe Mohan Dubey, Manjul Mishra, BP Singh, Aadesh Mishra, Shyam Mohan were present.
