1. The central government reorganized the NITI Aayog
The central government has reorganized the NITI Aayog on July 16. Senior ministers of the alliance parties i.e. NDA have also got a place in it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chairman of NITI Aayog and Suman Beri will be the vice-chairman. Dr VK Saraswat, Professor Ramesh Chandra, Dr VK Paul and Arvind Virmani have been made full-time members.

2. Subhash Dandekar, founder of stationery brand Camelin, passes away
Subhash Dandekar, the founder of the iconic stationery brand Camlin, passed away at the age of 86. He was serving as the honorary chairman of Kokuyo Camlin after selling his brand to the Japanese company Kokuyo. Subhash Dandekar was popularly known as Dadasaheb Digambar Dandekar.

1. Recruitment for 2424 posts of apprentice in railway
Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Central Railway (CR) has released recruitment for the posts of Apprentice. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website rrccr.com.

Educational Qualification :

  • Must have passed 10th examination with 50% marks.
  • Also possess National Trade Certificate issued by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) in the relevant trade.

Age Range :

  • The age of the candidates should be between 15 to 24 years.
  • There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

2. Applications started for Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment, opportunity for engineers
The Indian Army has started the recruitment process by issuing notification for Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech (64TH SSC (TECH) MEN & 35th SSC (TECH) WOMEN (APR 2025). Candidates can apply by visiting the Indian Army website joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The posts of female technical and non-technical are only for the widows of defense personnel. To apply for these posts, female candidates must have a B.Tech degree. Graduate female candidates can apply for non-technical posts.

Educational Qualification :

  • Engineering degree from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Candidates who are in the last year or final semester of engineering can also participate in this recruitment.

Age Range :

  • Minimum Age : 20 Years
  • Maximum age: 27 years
  • Age will be counted as on 1st April 2025.

1. 100% reservation in private jobs in Karnataka
Karnataka has decided to give 100% reservation to local people in Group C and D in private companies. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced this on July 16.

Giving information about this decision, CM Siddaramaiah said that our government wishes that Kannada people should not be deprived of jobs in Kannada land and they should get a chance to live a comfortable life in their motherland.

2. 10% reservation for Agniveers in government jobs in Haryana
Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced 10 percent reservation for Agniveers in government jobs in the state. CM Saini said that our government will give 10 percent reservation to Agniveers in direct recruitment of Police Constable, Mining Guard, Forest Guard, Jail Warden and SPO in Haryana.

CM Saini said that we have also decided to give these Agniveers a relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age prescribed for government posts in Group D and C.

In the case of the first batch, this age relaxation will be 5 years. The government will provide 5 percent reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment to civil posts in Group-C and 1 percent reservation in Group D.

3. ‘Laadla Bhai Yojana’ in Maharashtra Beginning
In Maharashtra, CM Eknath Shinde has launched the ‘Laadla Bhai Yojana’. Under this, the Maharashtra government will provide apprenticeship to the youth in factories for which they will be given a stipend.

Under this, 12th pass youth will be given Rs 6000 per month, diploma holders will be given Rs 8000 and graduates will be given Rs 10,000 per month.

4. Air India announced 2200 vacancies, 25 thousand candidates arrived
On Tuesday (16 July) more than 25 thousand candidates reached for the interview for 2,216 vacancies of airport loader in Mumbai. This led to a stampede like situation at Mumbai airport.
