In Sambhal, the procession of Muharram tazias was taken out peacefully in memory of the martyrs of Karbala. Unlike last year, this year the height of Muharram was kept very low. Electricity remained smooth due to not cutting the wires, Muharram procession was completed amidst the cries of Ya Hussain.

For the first time in Sambhal, electricity wires were not cut and the procession of Tazias of Moharram was completed in a peaceful environment amid many security arrangements. The local police administration had a meeting with Taza Daru before the festival and informed them about the government order. Following the government order, the Tajdars cooperated with the police administration and 10-12 feet long Tazias were taken out. In the Sambhal area, which is highly sensitive in the eyes of the UP and Central Government, the procession of Moharram was completed peacefully under the supervision of DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia and SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat. ASP Southern Shrishchandra, ADM Pradeep Verma, SDM Vinay Kumar Mishra, Sambhal CO Anuj Chaudhary, Asmoli CO Alok Sidhu kept roaming in the procession.

A large crowd gathered
A large number of women, men and children gathered in Sambhal today to see the procession of Moharram Tazias. During this time, the sounds of Ya Hussain Ya Hussain kept echoing from all sides. In the Moharram procession that took place in the city, the Tazias of many villages of the region merged with the Tazias of Nakhasa, Chaudhary Sarai and Fatehullah Sarai.

In the procession, the tazias from Mandi Kishandas Sarai, Qazi Sarai, Nuriyo Sarai, Saif Khan Sarai, Chaudhary Sarai etc. gathered at Chandausi intersection and from there, they proceeded together towards Dariyasar Karbala located on Hasanpur Road via Roadways, Hospital intersection, Agent Tiraha, Arya Samaj, Lala Changmal’s Kothi, Nakhasa. Along with this, tazias from many villages also participated in the procession.
