Two teenage girls drowned in a pond while grazing animals in Almapur village of Pachdevra police station area in Hardoi. On getting the information, both were taken out by the villagers. Both the girls were immediately taken to Shahabad CHC, out of which one girl

15 year old Shivanshi daughter of Mukesh Sharma of Majra Almapur village of Manpara in Pachdevra police station area had gone to graze animals to the north of the village with her friend 14 year old Sapna daughter of Satpal, where she started bathing in the pond. During this time, due to high water level, both the girls started drowning in the pond. By the time the villagers who were present far away came running and took both of them out of the pond, the condition of Shivanshi and Sapna had become very bad.

The villagers and the family rushed both of them to Shahabad CHC. Where the doctors declared Shivanshi dead, Sapna was referred to the medical college. Sapna is being treated there. The villagers are mourning the incident. Shivanshi’s family is in a state of shock due to her death.
