There was darkness in Rampur District Hospital for about 45 minutes on Thursday. In such a situation, doctors were forced to treat patients in the light of mobile phones. Due to fault in the power supply, power supply was disrupted. Due to which facilities were disrupted. Patients said that this is nothing new, this happens often.

There was a fault in the electricity line of the district hospital at around 11 o’clock. Due to this the health services of the district hospital started getting affected. Due to this the hospital remained in darkness for about 45 minutes. Health services in the emergency, medical and surgical wards got affected. The patients and their attendants who came for treatment were troubled. There is a crowd of patients in the OPD. The patients went to see the doctor after getting their prescription made, but due to the sudden power cut due to a fault, they also faced problem in seeing the doctor and getting their tests done. In the darkness the doctors kept examining the patients in the light of the mobile. There was problem in the services of CT scan, pathology lab and ultrasound for examining the patients. The staff in the pathology lab was seen getting troubled.
Security guard runs the electronic generator
There is a provision of electronic generator in the district hospital, but due to the absence of an operator, the security guard present there often runs the electronic generator. In such a situation, there is often a delay in starting the generator when the power goes off. Whereas electricity is required to keep the supply of oxygen uninterrupted.
It often gets dark late
A few days ago, a similar problem had occurred in the hospital. The district hospital has a feeder of 33 KVA capacity for power supply. The hospital should have 24-hour supply. Despite this, the hospital often goes dark.
