High Court rejects applications of RAS Main Exam-2023: Out of 569 candidates, 476 did not register objection on model answer key – Ajmer News

All the applications filed for inclusion in the RAS main examination have been rejected by the Rajasthan High Court Bench Jaipur. The continuous hearing was done by the division bench on 12th, 16th and 18th July.

Commission Secretary Ramniwas Mehta said that the court has also mentioned in its decision that out of 569 candidates who appealed, 476 candidates did not lodge any objection before the commission on the opportunity given by the commission to register objections on the answer key. Including such petitioners in the main examination can affect the entire examination process.

It is noteworthy that the stay application filed in all the appeals filed on the basis of 90 out of 150 questions of the preliminary examination has been rejected by the division bench of the Hon’ble Court. Earlier in the month of March 2024, 34 writs filed by 569 candidates were also rejected by the single bench.

On behalf of the Commission, Chief Controller of Examination Ashutosh Gupta and officials of the Key Validity Section were present in the court and presented their side by submitting factual report.

Advertisement was issued by Rajasthan Public Service Commission on 28 June 2023 for recruitment to 907 posts of Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services. The total number of posts in this recruitment is 972.
The preliminary examination was conducted by the commission on 1 October 2023. 4 lakh 58 thousand candidates appeared in it.
Objections were sought on the questions by releasing the model answer key. The commission received objections from a total of 2200 candidates during the stipulated period.
After getting the objections examined by subject experts, 5 questions were deleted and answers of 3 questions were changed as per the advice received.
The result of RAS Pre Exam-2023 was released by the Commission on 19 October 2023. In this, a total of 19 thousand 400 candidates were declared successful for the main examination.
Now on July 20 and 21, the Commission will conduct RAS Main Exam -2023 at 71 examination centers in 5 district headquarters.
