Haseena Hanif, popularly known as Usha, is a prominent figure in Malayalam movies. She stepped into this silver screen as a child actor in the Malayalam movie Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu. Usha who acted in several films with numerous roles, grabbed the attention of the audience through her role in Mohanlal’s Kareedam.
The actor has also acted in notable roles in Malayalam’s all-time favourite films like Carnival, Kottayam Kunjachan, Vadakkunokkiyantram, Kandathum kettathum, Annakutty Kodambakkam Vilikkunnu, Arhatha, Koodikazhcha, Mithunam, Sthreedhanam, Ulsavamelam, Anantha Vruthantham and so on.

The film is Ponnaranjanam, released in 1990, where Usha played the role of Padinjare Manakkal Savithri, directed by Babu Narayan.
In an interview, with an Online channel, the actress claimed that the reason behind her acting in the film was the trust she had in the other people who worked in that film. But after a while the actress got tired.
She claimed that “I was always fighting on set”.
The actress continued to work in the set as a beginner. According to the actress, it was a journey and she continued to act. But finally, Usha left the set. Apart from Usha, the film Ponnaranjanam featured Innocent, Mahesh, Mala Arvindan, Mamukkoya and Kanakalatha, in lead roles. Ponnaranjanam, which tells the story of the relationship between two young women, was produced by Hameed.
