The incident happened in Nadesar in 2002
The then MLA Dhananjay Singh testified that the family members were returning to Jaunpur in a Safari car with their companions from Rari Jaunpur after seeing Ramji Singh’s wife at Kabirnagar Hospital. Then on 4 October 2002 at 6 o’clock in the evening, as soon as they reached near Taksal Cinema Hall in Nadesar, a Tata Safari and a Bolero were already parked there.
In which Abhay Singh, a resident of Rajepur Maharajganj, Faizabad along with 4-5 of his companions got down from these vehicles carrying automatic weapons, rifles and guns. Abhay Singh challenged them by saying, kill Dhananjay Singh here and started firing with the pistol in his hand with the intention to kill.
The car was parked in front of the vehicle, then a man got down from the Bolero and started firing, there was a stampede in the market. Everyone closed their shops and started running away. The guard also fired in self-defense, his companions also fired in which Dhananjay Singh got injured.
Along with him, Jitendra Bahadur Singh, Santosh Singh, gunner Basudev Pandey, driver Dinesh Gupta also got injured by the firing by Abhay Singh and his companions. By then the police vehicle arrived and the attackers fled from the spot.
Former MP told about his animosity from student life
Former MP Dhananjay Singh had told in his complaint that he has a rivalry with Abhay since his student days and he has tried to kill him several times. He has recognized Abhay and his friends. He said that he can recognize them on seeing them face to face. He alleged that Abhay Singh is a terror in UP. He extorts money from businessmen. He kills for hire and gets others to kill him. In this, Dhananjay Singh, Jitendra Bahadur Singh, Santosh Singh, gunner Basudev Pandey and driver Dinesh Gupta were injured. The policemen present at the scene got Singh admitted to Medical Research Center. Abhay Singh’s lawyer Anuj Yadav has raised questions on this matter and has sought answers to them in cross-examination.
The court has rejected the petition of MLC Vineet Singh
Special Judge (MP-MLA) Avneesh Gautam has already rejected the application for separating the file of BJP MLC Vineet Singh, accused in the Nadesar firing case. It was said in this application that he has been acquitted in the gangster case registered against him. In such a situation, the hearing file in the Nadesar firing case should be separated and disposed of.
Actually, accused Sandeep Singh has taken a stay from the High Court that till the decision of the gangster case is not out, the hearing of the Nadesar firing case can be done but the decision cannot be given. Till now the hearing of the gangster case against Vinod Singh, Satyendra Singh, Sanjay Raghuvanshi and Sandeep Singh is pending. The gangster case of MLC Vineet Singh and SP MLA Abhay Singh has been settled.
