On 17th July in Sambhal, in memory of the martyrs of Karbala, on the 10th day of Muharram, for the first time in a peaceful atmosphere, the procession of Tazias was taken out with a height of “10 to 12” feet without cutting the electricity wires. For years, the height of these Tazias ranged from about 30 feet to 54 feet. For the first time after the independence of India, after the government order of the Yogi Adityanath government of UP, the common people did not have to face the problem of electricity.
Samajwadi Party MPs and MLAs are also giving their reaction on this. SP Rajya Sabha MP Javed Ali Khan wrote on his social media Facebook account that Yogiji, please pat the back of the police-administration of Sambhal district and give them promotion who, as per your biased intentions, did not allow the traditional procession of Tajiyas that has been taking place in my village for hundreds of years. The operation was peaceful.
The 24 feet Tazia from Mirzapur, the village of SP’s Rajya Sabha MP Javed Ali Khan, two Tazias of 54-53 feet from village Salarpur, 32 feet from village Hisampur, 30 feet from village Rahmapur Pipli, 30 feet from village Bharatal Sirsi and 22 feet from village Turtipura did not come out. The government order of the Uttar Pradesh government was fully implemented in Sambhal and without any opposition, the police-administration conducted the procession of Tazias peacefully without cutting the electricity wires.
Ziaur Rahman Burke had written the letter
SP MP Ziaur Rahman Barq had written a letter to the Chief Minister and demanded that the procession be taken out in the traditional manner. In a statement, he had called the Chief Minister’s order dogmatic. MLA Iqbal Mahmood had also met the DGP, Commissioner-DIG Moradabad.
