Saharanpur District Election Officer and DM Manish Bansal has issued a notification regarding the by-election of the three-tier Panchayat. By-elections for the vacant posts of 3 Gram Pradhan, 6 Kshetra Panchayat and 38 Gram Panchayat members will be held on August 6. Nomination papers can be submitted on July 22.

Counting will take place on August 8
District Election Officer Manish Bansal said that voting will be held on the morning of August 6. Counting of votes will be done on August 8. Nominations will be withdrawn on July 24. On the same day, election symbols will be given to the candidates. By-election for Gram Pradhan is in Village Panchayat Kaurwa of Nagal Block, Village Panchayat Mohiddinpur of Sadhauli Qadeem and Mirzapur Pol.

These three Gram Panchayats have been kept in unreserved category. By-elections will be held for the vacant posts of area Panchayat members in Hariabans of Baliyakhedi block, Nausarhadi of Muzaffarabad, Dalhadi of Nanauta, Thithki and Lakhnauti of Deoband, Saidpura of Sarsawa in Sarsawa rural area.

RO and ARO appointed for by-election
Panchayat member ward of Baliya Khedi is reserved for Scheduled Caste, ward 123 of Muzaffarabad is unreserved, ward 12 of Nanauta is reserved for Scheduled Caste, ward 99 of Deoband is reserved for women, ward 63 of Deoband is reserved for Scheduled Caste, ward 67 of Sarsawa is reserved for Backward Class.

Elections will be held for the post of Gram Pradhan in Korwa Gram Panchayat of Nagal, Sadhauli Kadim Gram Panchayat Mohiuddinpur, Mirzapur Pol. All these are from unreserved category. For which RO and ARO have been appointed.

By-elections will also be held for 38 Gram Panchayat members
Elections will be held for three member posts in Khujri Akbarpur and Jandhedi of Baliyakhedi development block, Sahabpura and Sansarpur of Muzaffarabad, Randhedi of Gangoh, one member post each in Umarpur, Sikandarpur, Begi, Tatarpur Kala, Khalidpur, Vilaspur, Ghatampur. Elections will be held for the vacant posts in Nagal, Sheetla Kheda, Baseda, Khatauli. By-elections will be held in Soomli, Mullapur Qadeem, Gandevad, Mohiuddinpur, Kalalahti, Sarkadi Sheikh, Khurd, Budhakheda of Punwarka.

By-elections will be held in Maura of Nanauta, Gunarasi of Deoband, Bahadarpur, Ambehta Chand of Rampur Maniharan, Rasulpur Tank, Zaheerpur, Bibipur, Gopali, Manki. Elections will also be held in Mirpur, Sitapur and Manoharpur in Sarsawa. The District Election Officer has appointed Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and Executive Magistrates for the by-elections in each development block.
