Applications started from 30 April

Kanpur University Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav said that the admission process in the university started from April 30. This year the seats have been filled faster than every year. Its effect has been seen after the ranking in NAAC. The university has now made everything transparent. Information about every subject is made available on the university website with complete details, so that students do not have to wander anywhere.

Health Science Paramedical seats are full

Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav said that this year all the seats of Health Science Paramedical have already been filled. 80 percent seats in B.Tech, 95 percent in BCA, 85 percent in SCA, 95 percent in BBA, 80 percent in MBA, 90 percent in Biotechnology, 80 percent in Mass Communication have been filled.

Only 50 percent of the seats in Fine Arts were filled

Of all the courses running in the university, Fine Arts is the only department in which only 50 percent of the seats are filled. For this, Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak has prepared a plan to fill these seats after holding a meeting with the professors of the department.

The professors of the university will go to inter colleges and spread awareness about fine arts and will tell the children about its future. They will also be told how they can make a future in this course.

Last year in July, 9 thousand seats were filled

According to Dr. Anil Kumar, last time around 9 thousand seats were filled till this season, but this time people have got admission on more than 12 thousand seats. It is expected that all the seats will be filled by the end of this month.

Appointment of Placement Officer

The university has become very conscious about providing placements along with studies. For this, a placement officer has been appointed who will be responsible for all the tasks from organizing placements to getting internships for students, contacting companies and calling them, etc.

BCA and BBA got approval from AICT

BCA and BBA courses in the university have also got approval from AICT from this year. Now after its approval, students can also participate in internships. Also, if any workshop is organized, they will be able to participate in it for free. Admission will be taken on 270 seats in BCA and 180 seats in BBA.

1800 applications reached for hostel

This time there is going to be a lot of competition for hostels, because the university has only 1150 hostels available. So far the university has received 1800 applications for hostels. In such a situation, the university administration has decided that priority will be given to those students who have come from far-off places to study.
