On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Aparna Rajat Kaushik, a campaign is being run to arrest the accused wanted in criminal cases in the district. On Saturday, Sunnagari police arrested the accused wanted in the case of raping a minor. The name of the arrested accused is Saavir Ali.
Police sent him to jail
A case was registered against the accused by Sunnagari police station and the minor’s family under sections 363/366/376D/506 and 5/6 of the POCSO Act. The accused was absconding from the police. The police, under the leadership of CO Sahawar Shahida Nasreen, arrested him today and sent him to jail. Five criminal cases have already been registered against the arrested accused Sahir Ali. These include cases of theft and fraud.
