Police have arrested 2 thieves in the case of stealing 21 goats from an XUV car in Ghatampur, Kanpur. They have been sent to jail after interrogation. Police is searching for the remaining two thieves.

Ghatampur Inspector Pradeep Kumar Singh said that thieves in an XUV car had stolen 21 goats from Tilsada village in Ghatampur. When the police searched the CCTV footage of the area, they got hold of the XUV car’s number. The police raided and caught two accused. The XUV car has been recovered.

The XUV car used in the theft has been recovered by the police.

During interrogation, both of them identified themselves as Mohammad Raj, resident of Jamrawa in Fatehpur district and Rasheed, resident of Sarai Hussainganj. They told the police that two others were also involved with them in the theft. The police sent both of them to jail on Saturday. Ghatampur Inspector Pradeep Kumar Singh said that both the thieves have been presented in the court and sent to jail. The other two thieves are being searched for.

Goats were sold in Raebareli Mandi

During police interrogation, both the accused told that after stealing 21 goats from here, they sold them at a good price in Raebareli Mandi. After which they started looking for a place nearby to steal. But before that, the police caught them and revealed the incident of theft.

Know what was the whole matter

Poonam Sahu, a resident of Tilsada village of Ghatampur police station area, had recently reached Ghatampur police station and given a complaint to the police. She told that she rears goats. She had about two hundred goats. Late last night, unknown youth riding an XUV car stole 16 goats and five children from the car. The theft incident was captured in the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the house.

In the CCTV footage, the thieves were seen breaking the lock of the gate and loading 21 goats in the XUV car and taking them away. On the basis of the complaint, the police had registered a case against the XUV car driver and started investigation.
