The authority is preparing to make its community centre expensive.
The community centres of Lucknow Vikas Pradhikaran will be out of the reach of the common man. There are plans to make their booking expensive by giving the responsibility of operating them to private hands. There are plans to give booking for five years in the first round.

The base price for this has been kept at Rs 46 lakh. The big thing is that it will increase by 7 percent every year. The company that will take its booking will also pay 18 percent GST. In such a situation, it is being estimated that this booking will not be less than Rs 1.50 lakh. Currently this booking is done for Rs 78 thousand.
Preparations to lease five community centers
LDA is going to lease the community centers located in Virat Khand, Vinamr Khand, Vardan Khand, Viraj Khand and Vivek Khand for five years. Its tenders have been issued online on LDA’s website. Technical and financial bids have been sought for leasing the community centers. The applicant will have to apply in English. Not only this, the private agency which will get the community center will be able to organize all kinds of events and charge rent as per its wish. Provided the rent will not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh. In such a situation, it is believed that any private agency will charge the maximum rent.
Booking will be costly for LDA employees too
Along with common people, booking here will also be expensive for LDA employees. Here, 25 percent discount was given to the employees on Rs 78 thousand. Now it will be available on Rs 1.5 lakh. In such a situation, it will become expensive for them too. In such a situation, the employees are also angry with this decision of the department. The operator will also get his own tent, his own caterers, flower work done and will charge whatever amount he wants from the applicant.
It is being estimated that the marriages which used to be completed in five to six lakh rupees till now, will now cost ten to twelve lakh rupees.
LDA had built community centers for the convenience of allottees. The purpose was that people of every class would be able to do their auspicious work here and that too at concessional rates but LDA is going to hand them over to private hands. The special thing is that LDA intends to completely commercialize these community centers.
