Rumor of fire in Satyagraha Express train in Gonda | Gonda Satyagraha Express train rumored to be on fire: Passengers ran away by jumping from the window and door as soon as the train stopped suddenly, the train stood still for an hour – Gonda News


There is still an atmosphere of fear among the people after the train accident that happened in Gonda last Thursday. There was a commotion between Colonelganj and Majapur railway stations at 11:00 pm late at night when the passengers were informed about the fire in Satyagraha Express train going from Delhi to Raxaul.

As soon as the train stopped suddenly, one after another passengers started jumping out of the windows and doors and started running away and kept saying that the train was on fire. Amidst the rumour of fire, the Satyagraha Express remained standing on the railway track for about 1 hour.

When the responsible officials of the railway department reached the spot and investigated, no fire was found anywhere in the train. After this, the Satyagraha Express train left for Raxaul from Gonda at around 12:00 in the night.

I saw smoke coming out from the rear coach
In fact, the passengers travelling in the general coach of the Satyagraha Express had spread the rumour of a fire when they saw smoke coming out from the rear coach. One after the other, the passengers pulled the chain, due to which the loco pilot had to suddenly stop the train.

Passengers ran away by jumping from the windows and doors of the train
As soon as the train stopped, there was chaos at Colonelganj and Maijapur railway stations. One after another, male and female passengers started jumping out of the windows and doors of the train and running away.
