Two teenagers living in a village located in the Bondi area of Bahraich district went to take a bath in a pond on Saturday evening, during which both of them started drowning in the pond due to deep water. Hearing the noise, the villagers present nearby jumped into the pond to save both of them, but they could not escape.

The villagers informed the family and the police about this. On getting the information, the family and the police reached the spot. With the help of local divers, both the teenagers were taken out. When their condition became critical, both were sent to the district hospital. Where both of them died during treatment. There is an uproar among the family members of the deceased.
Accident happened while taking bath
Ayush Verma, 14 years old and Pratik Verma, 13 years old sons of Krishnanand and Girish Verma, residents of Majra Nathupur of Dhakrewa Gram Panchayat situated in Bondi police station area, troubled by the heat, went to take a bath in the pond located near Ramkunda at 5 pm on Saturday evening. While bathing, both of them started drowning after going into deep water.
Both were taken out with the help of divers
Hearing the noise, the villagers passing by tried to take them out, but due to high water level, they could not be found. Police reached the spot and took both of them out with the help of divers and sent them to the medical college with the help of an ambulance. Both of them died during treatment at 10 pm.
Police station in-charge Gyan Singh said that two teenagers died due to drowning in the pond. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for postmortem.
