In Shahjahanpur, a woman was beaten up by women of the other party due to an old rivalry. The women pulled the victim by her hair. Someone made a video of the assault and made it viral on social media on Sunday. The victim filed an application in the police station demanding action.

Rupa Rani, a resident of Mohalla Mahmad Hadaf of Thana Sadar Bazar, has an old dispute with her neighbor Soochit Rathore. The victim had filed an FIR against the accused regarding the old dispute. The accused got furious after the action was taken and started pressuring the victim to withdraw the case. They started threatening to kill her if she did not withdraw the case. The victim alleges that on the night of 16th July, she was going home after buying some stuff. Then the accused surrounded her and started beating her.

Meanwhile, the women of the accused’s family also came to the spot and caught hold of her and started beating her brutally. During the fight, the women pulled the victim’s hair. Someone made a video of the fight and made it viral on social media on Sunday. The victim has demanded action against the accused by submitting an application in the police station. The police have taken action against one of the accused for disturbing the peace.

Police station in-charge Ravindra Singh said that after receiving the application, action has been taken against one person for disturbing peace. The incident is being investigated.
