A young man died due to electric shock in Azamgarh.
A case of a young man’s death has come to light after he fell near a liquor shop near Matbarganj Laldighi dam in the city Kotwali area of Azamgarh district. The accident happened when Ravi Kumar (31), son of Prasad Chauhan, fell near the underground electricity box near the liquor shop.

During this, the box opened and the young man got electrocuted. When the people nearby came to know about the incident, they took him to the hospital for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead.
Locals said many animals have died
Regarding this, the local people say that many animals have died due to the current coming from the open electricity box. Complaints were made to the department officials several times in this regard but the problem could not be solved till date. A large number of animals have died due to electric shock here every day. The police have taken the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. On getting information about this matter, the employees of the electricity department were seen putting tape on the open cables. However, this incident has created an atmosphere of panic among the local people.
