On Sunday night, near the Zonal Park located in Power House of Ashiana police station area, drunk goons abused two brothers who had come to drink tea by using caste-specific abusive language. When the victims protested, the goons started beating the brothers. On receiving the information, police personnel from the control room reached the spot.

According to Vaibhav Vishwakarma, son of Harischandra, who lives in Sector-H of Ashiana police station area, on Sunday night he was drinking tea with his brother near the Zonal Park located near the Power House Square near LDA Colony, when a drunk Pragesh Pandey came with his three companions and started abusing them on caste lines. When they protested, he started beating them.

Seeing his brother being beaten up, the younger brother informed the police control room about the incident. On receiving the information, the drunk goons started pushing and shoving the police personnel who arrived on Apache bike. Seeing themselves being pushed and shoved, the police personnel called the local Ashiana police station and called for additional police force on the spot, but the drunk goons continued their rampage in front of the police as well.

On receiving the information, Ashiana Inspector in-charge Chhatrapal Singh reached the spot with his team and using force made the bullies sit in the car and came to Ashiana police station, but in the meantime a constable of the station also got injured. Seeing the highhandedness of the bullies, the crowd gathered on the spot captured the incident on mobile phones and made it viral on social media. Meanwhile, the victim Vaibhav Vishwakarma reached Ashiana police station and filed a complaint against one named person and three unidentified persons. Inspector Chhatrapal Singh says that on the written complaint of the victim a case has been registered and action for breach of peace has been taken against the accused.
