Shiva was drenched in the water of faith | Shiva drenched in the water of faith: People in Basti prayed for their wishes, Shivalayas resounded with the chanting of Har Har Mahadev – Basti News


On the first Monday of Shravan month in Basti, the crowd of devotees started gathering in the temples from the morning itself. People were moving towards the temples with water pots in their hands, Lord Shiva got drenched with the water of people’s faith, devotees were worshiping Bhoot Bhavan Dev in their own way

At the Company Bagh Shiva temple in the city, women and other devotees performed Jalabhishek of Baba Bholenath and prayed for happiness and prosperity. At the Baba Bhadeshwar Nath Shiva temple, located about 8 km from the district headquarters, devotees started arriving at the Baba Bhadeshwar Nath Shiva temple from 4 am onwards. To prevent the gathering of crowds here, barriers were put up at various places to stop the vehicles.

Shiva temple was decorated with flowers
A large number of devotees were seen performing Jalabhishek since morning, apart from this, a huge crowd of devotees was seen at Gotwa Tilakpur Shiva temple, a large number of devotees from the surrounding area reached Tilakpur Shiva temple and here they performed Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba, Baba Behil Nath Shiva temple located at Bankati was decorated with flowers.

Bells and Ghadiyal were ringing all around, here some devotees were also performing Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva, apart from this, there was a fair like atmosphere in the temple premises, while a huge crowd of devotees was seen at the Deoria Mafi Shiva temple of Mundera, along with this, devotees were also seen worshipping Bhoot Bhavan Devadhishdev Mahadev at the Karan temple situated in the old colony.

Police were seen deployed at every step to protect the people
On the first Monday of Sawan, police personnel were seen everywhere for the safety of the people. To ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience, they were stopping vehicles from coming towards the temple and were appealing to people to park their vehicles in the parking lot.
