In Azamgarh district’s Gambhirpur police station area, miscreants riding a Scorpio looted a truck driver of Rs 1.14 lakh by pointing a pistol at him. On Saturday night, the truck driver was going to Ballia with a truck loaded with bananas from Prayagraj. During this time, the robbers looted the truck.

On Sunday evening, the victim Ansar Ahmed reached Gambhirpur and filed a complaint in the police station. After receiving the complaint, the police started investigating. The police also found CCTV related to the incident. In the CCTV, a suspicious Scorpio is seen overtaking the truck.

Talking to Dainik Bhaskar about this, driver Ansar Ahmed said that while going to Ballia with bananas loaded from Prayagraj, the miscreants in a Scorpio overtook the Scorpio near Gambhirpur and stopped it. The miscreants armed with weapons climbed on the truck and started beating me and put a pistol on my neck and looted Rs 1 lakh 14 thousand kept in the vehicle.
Along with this, they snatched my mobile phone and threw me in an unconscious state near a railway crossing near Jaunpur. However, on the basis of the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
