There has been a water problem for the last 4 months. The Municipal Corporation dug three pits in Dandhiya. Then the work did not proceed further. The supply pipe was cut. Earlier some water used to come, but now not even a drop of water comes. This is what Anil, a resident of Pandey Tola of Dandhiya, says

We are buying water for drinking. We have contacted the municipal corporation officials many times for this, but the problem has not been resolved. The municipal corporation officials have asked for a place to install a submersible, but where will we provide the space here? The municipal corporation should identify a place and provide water.

700 people from 120 houses are not getting water

Mohammad Adil says that 50 houses in Pandey Tola are not getting water. Along with this, more houses are affected in the back side of Dandhiya. They are completely troubled due to lack of water. The problem is not being solved till date, they have called all the officials. They have also given memorandum, but are not getting any response. When we call, the tanker does not come, the problem is not being solved. At least 120 houses are facing problem. It is not known whether the tanker will come or not. There is no assurance of this.

I can’t do boring myself

Abhishek says that the Nagar Nigam said that they will install a submersible here, but they have not done anything. The problem has been persisting for four months, no one is listening. Our problem is that we have become dependent on water. 50 houses are on the main road of Dandhiya. The same number of houses are behind. Boring is also prohibited. We cannot even do boring in our houses ourselves. In such a situation, we have to depend on the supply of water, while there has been no water in the house for months.

Officials understand the problem but are not solving it

Mohammad Jameel says that the officials understand the problem, but they are not doing anything to solve it. This problem persists in a city like Lucknow. We are getting troubled. There is difficulty in doing even the daily household chores. We have to call three to four times a day to get water from the water tanker. Only then does the tanker come with water. Sometimes water comes from the tanker during the day. And sometimes it does not. This problem should be solved.
