A constable posted at UP-112 police office and his wife fell unconscious after electric current passed through their quarters in the police line colony of Hamirpur headquarters. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Other people living in the colony also felt the shock.

In the rainy season, a cut electric wire caused electric current to spread in the police colony located in the Reserve Police Line today. Due to which 38-year-old constable Sunil Yadav posted in UP-112 office and his 35-year-old wife Savitri Devi fell unconscious.
Other people living in the colony also got caught in the current but they saved themselves. This accident created panic in the colony premises. The couple was immediately brought to the district hospital for treatment.
Top officials had reached the hospital
There are eight quarters in the colony in the police line. The families of police personnel live in these quarters. They have been affected by this electric shock today. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the top officials of the police department reached the hospital. Where they enquired about the condition of the couple. After this accident, efforts are being made to find the fault as to how the electric shock came in the colony.
