Kaushambi police has taken a big action against the gang that leaked question papers in the state’s competitive examinations and has taken action against the gang under the Gangster Act. Manjhanpur police has filed a case against 23 members of the gang including the gang leader Rajiv Nayan Mishra alias Rahul Kumar Mishra.

The police have considered the gang to be an inter-state gang. According to SP Brijesh Srivastava, the police is now preparing to take over the property acquired by the gang with the help of the administration.
How was the paper leak revealed
In the last few months, many cases of question paper leaks of various competitive examinations in the state have come to light. The biggest case came to light when the question paper of the RO-ARO exam held on 11 February 2024 was leaked before the exam.
This incident caused great anger among the students. Protests started across the state. After the CM’s instructions, the STF took swift action in the case and arrested the gang leader and his members spread across other states and sent them behind prison bars.
The network of gangs spread in other states
The kingpin of the gang is Rajiv Nayan Mishra. He is a resident of Amaura Meja in Prayagraj. But was currently living in Bhopal. The gang also had members from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. The main objective of this gang was to extort huge amounts of money from students by leaking question papers of examinations.
After a detailed investigation, Kaushambi police arrested 23 members of the gang. Cases have been registered against all of them under various sections including the Gangster Act. Police have registered cases against the gang. A case has also been registered against the gang in Prayagraj’s Civil Lines police station for leaking the exam and affecting public order.
Who are the gang members?
Prominent names among the arrested gang members are Rajiv Nayan Mishra alias Rahul Kumar Mishra, Subhash Prakash, Ravi Atri, Vikram Pehal, Sunil Raghuvanshi, Amarjeet Sharma, Vishal Dubey, Sandeep Pandey, Vivek Upadhyay, Ayush Pandey, Punit Singh, Naveen Singh, Arun Kumar Singh, Amit Singh, Dr. Sharad Singh, Abhishek Shukla, Kamlesh Kumar Pal, Arpit Vineet Jaswant, Saurabh Kumar Shukla, Prabhat Kumar Singh, Panditji, Roshan Singh Patel and Santosh Kumar Chourasiya.

SP Brijesh Srivastava said, Manjhanpur police station has started the proceedings. Now the police is preparing to take possession of the property collected by the criminals through crime with the help of the administration. He has appealed to the public to be vigilant and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
SP said, after this action, it is expected that the situation of competitive examinations will be restored. Students will get a chance to give a fair examination. But the challenge of the gangs that leak the question papers still remains. This campaign of the police has proved that no matter how clever the criminals are, they cannot escape the clutches of law.
