In the application given to the police, he said that his daughter Bhagyalakshmi is a second year MBA student at the Indian Institute of Management Jammu. On January 3, 2024, Bhagyalakshmi received a phone call on her mobile from 8211508032. The caller introduced himself as an employee of FedEx courier company and told Bhagyalakshmi that your courier has arrived and some amount has to be paid to release it.

Rajesh says that during this time, Rs 99,810 was withdrawn from his daughter’s Canara Bank account in Sarojini Nagar through UPI transaction. On getting to know about this, Bhagya Lakshmi made a written complaint about this at the Nagrota Police Station in Jammu and the Cyber ​​Crime Police Station in Gandhi Nagar as well as the Sarojini Nagar branch of Canara Bank. But she was asked to complain at the cyber police station. Then she complained at the cyber police station. Where she was told that action would be taken by the National Cyber ​​Crime Portal.

Rajesh says that later the complaint was forwarded to Sarojininagar police station for redressal. Rajesh says that the fraudster has an account in Punjab National Bank Sabit Ganj branch in Etawah district and he has cheated many other people in the same way. Due to this, there is a ban on withdrawing money from his account and on enquiring, it was found that there is an amount of Rs 4 lakh deposited in his account.

Rajesh has told the police that if he forwards this complaint from the Sarojininagar branch of Canara Bank to the Punjab National Bank branch of the accused, then he may get his money back. At present, Sarojininagar police is registering a report in this case and taking further action.
