Even amidst the rising water level in Dudhwa National Park of Lakhimpur Kheri, the forest administration is making every possible effort to continuously patrol the entire park area. Patrolling for the safety of wildlife during the monsoon season is very challenging for the forest department.

Tiger reserve administration on alert mode
The Tiger Reserve administration is on alert mode in view of the possibility of wildlife hunting during floods and rains. Forest personnel are patrolling on foot, bikes, bicycles, tractors and elephants at higher places, while in the flooded forests, forest personnel have to patrol by boat.

The Tiger Reserve administration has arranged for wooden boats as well as motorboats. According to the claims of the Forest Department, M Stripes patrolling is being done for 8 to 9 thousand km per day inside the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve forest in difficult conditions.

Lalit Kumar Verma, Deputy Director of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, has also expressed concern over the flood water entering the forests of the park and said that due to flood water filling in many parts of Dudhwa forest, wildlife is reaching safer places inside the forest.

Realizing the threat to the safety of the forest and wildlife, forest workers are continuously patrolling even in challenging conditions. Forest workers are patrolling on foot, bike, bicycle, tractor and elephants at high places, while in the flooded forest, forest workers have to patrol by boat. The Tiger Reserve administration has made arrangements for motorboats along with wooden boats.
