In Sitapur, a meeting was held in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Abhishek Anand regarding the preparations for voting and counting of votes for the vacant posts of Gram Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat and District Panchayat. In the meeting, the District Magistrate assured smooth completion of the voting process.

Review of arrangements at polling stations
DM Abhishek Anand said in the meeting that any shortcomings at the polling centers should be removed. He especially instructed to ensure the arrangements of light, clean drinking water and toilets at the polling centers. Along with this, he said to pay attention to the availability of polling material and advised to purchase the material on time if needed.
Departure of polling parties and videography
DM, while instructing ARTO Administration Mala Bajpai, said that vehicles will be required for the dispatch of polling parties at the time of voting. She advised to prepare a route chart and demand necessary vehicles. Apart from this, information was also taken about videography. She also asked to ensure that the employees of the villages where voting is taking place are not assigned duty elsewhere.

It was discussed that suitable halls should be identified and barricading should be arranged for counting of votes so that no chaos is created. Ballot covers should also be arranged along with ballot boxes.
Dispatch of polling parties and arrangement of strong rooms
The DM also advised to identify a school in Hargaon for the dispatch of polling parties and to identify the location of the strong room. Additional District Magistrate Nitish Kumar Singh talked about ensuring the number of employees deployed on duty and keeping only qualified people on duty.
Police force and weather preparedness
The police department was instructed to deploy adequate police force at the time of voting so that no problems arise. It was also said that adequate arrangements should be made in view of the rainy season. The counting of ballot papers should be done properly and the ballot papers should be checked in advance.
