2. Mayank Joshi became the High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Bahamas
On 24 July, the Ministry of External Affairs appointed Mayank Joshi as the next High Commissioner of India to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. He will be based in Kingston during his tenure. Mayank Joshi is a 2003 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer. He was currently India’s High Commissioner to Jamaica.

1. UPSC will use digital technologies
UPSC has decided to use digital technologies to prevent cheating and other malpractices in its exams.

Now state-of-the-art Aadhaar based fingerprint authentication and facial recognition system will be used in the examinations. Apart from this, with the help of AI based CCTV surveillance, tampering of dummy candidates will be caught.

2. Re-examination dates of constables released in UP
Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board has released the re-examination dates for 60,244 constable recruitments. The written examination will be held on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August.

This exam was first conducted in February, but it was cancelled due to allegations of rigging. After this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that the exam would be conducted again in 6 months.
