A youth living in a village in the Bondi area of Bahraich district has submitted a letter to the Superintendent of Police accusing a sub-inspector and a constable of the Bondi police station of assault. The youth says that some people living in the neighbourhood were encroaching the land illegally. When he tried to oppose them, he was beaten up.

Mohammad Shahid Khan, son of Mohammad Iqbal Khan, a resident of village panchayat Kandausa in the Bondi police station area, submitted a complaint letter to the Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla, in which he said that when he had an argument with his neighbours Jalalu Khan and Saeed Khan over illegal occupation of a drain, Jalalu Khan called the police station and called a sub-inspector and a constable.
Beaten with sticks and kicks
The youth alleges that sub-inspector Alok and the constable beat him with sticks and kicks in front of his house. The youth says that after the beating, the policemen left him in an injured state and fled. The victim reached the district headquarters late on Wednesday evening and submitted a complaint letter to the Superintendent of Police. The police personnel have termed the youth’s allegation of assault as baseless.
