A particular distributor has bought the rights to re-release the film in theatres next week.

After almost twelve years, the timeless love story Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu is making a triumphant comeback to the big screen. Directed by the renowned Gautham Menon and featuring Nani and Samantha in the lead roles, the acclaimed film is scheduled for re-release on August 2. The announcement by producers Supriya and Srinivas under the Lakshmi Narasimha Movies banner promises to revive the enchantment of a film that charmed audiences back in 2012. A particular distributor has bought the rights to re-release the film in theatres next week and it will run in selective private theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu garnered acclaim upon its release, earning five esteemed Nandi Awards. The film’s honours include Best Hero for Nani, Best Heroine for Samantha, Best Music Director for Ilayaraja, and Best Lyricist for Ananth Sriram. Additionally, Gautham Menon received the Special Jury Award for his exceptional contribution to the film.

The film was highly praised for its engaging storyline, stellar performances, and beautiful music. Nani and Samantha received particular commendation for their roles, while Gautham Menon’s script and direction were notably impressive. Ilayaraja’s enchanting soundtrack significantly enhanced the cinematic experience, winning the hearts of music lovers. Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu was simultaneously produced in both Telugu and Tamil, with Jeeva taking the lead in the Tamil version. Samantha starred in both versions, highlighting her versatility as an actress. Initially, Gautham Menon planned a Hindi adaptation featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Samantha, but the project faced production issues and was ultimately shelved.

Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon is eagerly anticipating the release of his long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. Nani, who last appeared in Hi Nanna, is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, scheduled to hit theatres on August 29. On the other hand, the highly anticipated Hindi action web series The Citadel, starring Samantha in a leading role, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime.
