A shameful case of police action has come to light from Deoria. Here, to recover the kidnapped teenager, the policemen took money from the victim’s mother for flight and train tickets along with other expenses. After recovering the teenager from Mumbai and handing her over to her mother, she disappeared again.

A youth from a village in Baghauchghat police station area lured a teenage girl from the same village into a love trap and eloped with her. On receiving this information, the girl’s mother pleaded with the police station to find her daughter. During investigation, the girl’s location was found to be in Mumbai. After this, a three-member police team prepared to bring her back.
The policemen made the girl’s mother book a flight ticket from Lucknow to Mumbai worth about Rs 22,200 and a return train ticket worth Rs 7,000. Apart from this, they also took Rs 6,000 for other expenses. After recovering the girl from Mumbai and handing her over to her mother, she disappeared again. Now the mother is again making rounds of the police station to recover her daughter.
Meanwhile, CO City Sanjay Reddy said, such a case has come to his notice. Necessary action will be taken after investigation. This case has raised serious questions on the working and honesty of the police. Now it remains to be seen what action the administration takes in this matter.
