An elderly man died under suspicious circumstances in Raebareli. On receiving the information, the police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case. The case is from Rudra Nagar of Ward No. 6 of Maharajganj town.

The family members of the old man have accused two people of murdering him for the greed of land. In the complaint given to the police, it was told that since last three months Rajesh alias Bunty and Ram Abhilakh of the village used to make the deceased Sunderlal drink alcohol every evening after luring him to get the farm and house registered in their name. Before the murder, he had told at home that on Monday I got the land registered in exchange for some money, but now I am getting death threats on asking for the remaining money. On Friday morning Rajesh and Ram Abhilakh took his father-in-law away on a motorcycle and murdered him.
Case filed on complaint of family members
The SHO said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the family. The body has been sent for postmortem and the case is being investigated.
