Police action is continuing against the accused involved in the murder of SP leader Om Prakash Singh in Raja Tola village of Parsapur police station area of Gonda. Police arrested the fifth accused Nandan Singh alias Balbir Singh, who was absconding in the murder case, from near Dehras intersection.

Accused Nandan Singh alias Balbir Singh along with his father, main accused BJP leader Udaybhan Singh alias Lalan Singh murdered Om Prakash Singh with a sharp weapon in broad daylight on July 19. Nandan Singh was absconding since the murder, who has now been caught by the police. The police of Parsapur police station have arrested all the five accused involved in the murder – Lalan Singh, Suraj Singh, Nandan Singh, Dharamveer alias Chandan Singh and Rohit alias Baba and sent them to jail.

Parsapur police station chief Dinesh Singh said that all the five accused, including the main accused, involved in the Om Prakash Singh murder case have been arrested. The police is investigating the entire case and efforts are being made to file a charge sheet in the court as soon as possible. Advocacy will also be done in the court to ensure strict action against the accused.
