The cab driver alleges that the attackers beat him and also broke the car’s windows.
In Ghaziabad, a cab driver was brutally beaten up by 8-10 boys with sticks and hockey sticks. He was beaten till he fainted. They also broke the glass panes of the car. It is alleged that the cab driver had refused to bring a female teacher due to money transaction.

There was a dispute over cutting the money
Ajay Tyagi, a resident of village Panchlok in Loni area, said, ‘I am a cab driver. Every day I take female teacher Rekha from village Jawali to her school Tappal in my car. I used to get 14 thousand rupees per month for this work. Due to the teacher’s behavior, I refused to pick her up and drop her. Last month the teacher had deducted some money from me, so I refused to do the work for him.’
According to Ajay Tyagi- ‘On 24th July, Teacher Rekha’s husband Rajesh Kasana called me and threatened me. He said that if my madam does not go to school, you will not be able to drive in the area. Nor will anyone be able to save you from me. I have strong power in the police and administration.’
The cab driver suffered injuries at several places on his body in the fight.
Accused of robbing a gold chain and 10 thousand rupees
The cab driver said- On 26th July at 3:30 in the afternoon, before Sahibabad bus depot, two vehicles overtook my vehicle and stopped it. There were no number plates on them. 8-10 boys got out of those vehicles. They started beating me with sticks and hockey sticks. They broke the windows of my vehicle. I recognized one of the accused, whose name is Vishal. He is the younger son of a lady teacher. When I regained consciousness, the gold chain from my neck and 10 thousand rupees from my pocket were missing.
The victim immediately informed Dial-112. After this, he reached Link Road police station and lodged a complaint. Till Saturday, this case could not be registered. Police say that investigation is being done in the matter.
