India’s Full Schedule at Paris Olympics 2024 for July 28, 2024: Events, Timings, Athletes and More – News18

After a challenging start to the Olympics, the Indians shall march on as the second day of the Games with a few bright spots to look forward to.

India’s lone rower Balraj Panwar, competing in his first Olympic Games, finished 4th in the Men’s Single Sculls event. The 25-year-old will now participate in the repechage round on Sunday, with a chance to make it to the final stages and compete for a medal.

Another Olympian on the other hand, who has made it to a final, is none other than shooter Manu Bhaker. Bhaker finished third to qualify for the 10m Air Pistol Women’s final. The 22-year-old shot 580 to finish third in the qualifications in which Hungarian ace Veronika Major claimed the top spot with a score of 582. Now, she will face off to potentially bring India their first medal in this Olympics.

Many other athletes shall set off on their campaign on Sunday, with the likes of PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy taking on their first opponents of the Games.

And in one of the big name fixtures, boxer Nikhat Zareen will step into the ring to being ounching her ticket to Olympic glory.
