The 16th inter-district police weight lifting competition of Agra zone going on in Aligarh concluded on Sunday. In this, the players of Mathura district secured the first position in the competition by winning the maximum 19 gold medals. Aligarh was in the second place and Mathura was in the third place

A three-day competition was organized in the Reserve Police Line. Male and female players from all districts of Agra Zone participated in it. The male and female teams of Aligarh and Mathura jointly performed best and captured the Chal Baijanti. As a guest, SSP Sanjeev Suman honored the winning players.

152 players of police department participated
The competition of police personnel from 7 districts included in Agra zone was held in Aligarh Police Lines. 152 players of male and female category participated in the three-day Police Weightlifting Cluster (Weightlifting, Yoga and Power Lifting) Competition year 2024.
The players displayed their talent for three days. The entire competition was conducted under the supervision of SP Traffic and Lines Mukesh Kumar Uttam and CO Lines Amrit Jain. RI Anubhav Kumar Tripathi said that Mathura got 19 gold medals in this, while Aligarh, which came second, won 17 gold medals. Etah, which came third, won 6 gold medals.
The winning team of Aligarh was also honoured.
Aligarh won the most medals, 36
Aligarh district has won the most medals in the competition, 36. These include 17 gold and 19 silver medals. Mathura has won 35 medals. These include 19 gold and 16 silver medals. Etah, which is in third place, has won only 8 medals. These include 6 gold and 2 silver medals.
SP Traffic Mukesh Kumar and SP City Mrigang Shekhar were also honoured for the successful organisation of the competition.

Aligarh- 36 medals, 17 gold (women-9, men-8) and 19 silver (women-14, men-5)
Mathura- 35 medals, 19 gold (women-12, men-7) and 16 silver (women-10, men-6)
Firozabad- 11 medals, 4 gold (women-01, men-3) and 7 silver (women-1, men-6)
Hathras- 10 medals, 3 gold (men-3) and 7 silver (women-2, men-5)
Etah- 8 medals, 6 gold (women-2, men-4) and 2 silver (women-1, men-1)
Agra- 4 Gold Medals (Women-1, Men-3)
Kasangaj- 2 medals, (Men-1 gold medal, Women-1 silver medal)
