Last Saturday, thieves targeted a house in Hanuman Nagar locality of Sadar Kotwali area of Unnao. They broke the lock of the room and stole valuables including cash worth lakhs. The incident came to light when the house owner returned home.

On receiving information about the theft, the field unit and the Kotwali police reached the spot and investigated. Now the police have raided several places to uncover the incident. The surveillance team is also connecting all the links to uncover the incident.
Let us tell you that Purushottam Singh, son of Satyendra Singh, a resident of Hanuman Nagar of the city, while giving information, had told that he currently lives in Lucknow with his wife. His mother lives on the second floor in Hanuman Nagar locality. When he came home, he saw the latch of the room broken. When he went into the room, he saw that the lock of the cupboard was broken.
During investigation, it was found that cash worth Rs 7 lakh, jewellery, a valuable watch worth about Rs 2.5 lakh and other items were missing. On receiving information about the incident, the team of Kotwali in-charge Pramod Kumar Mishra’s field unit reached the spot and enquired about the incident from the public.
The police has now raided Unnao and Kanpur to uncover the incident and questioned many suspects. The police is also connecting all the links to solve many theft cases that happened in the past so that the incidents can be uncovered.
Field unit team collected evidence
On getting information about theft in the house of the Food Department clerk, CO City Sonam Singh said that investigation has been done after the victim lodged a complaint of theft in the police station. Legal action is being taken on the basis of the complaint.
