Social media was set ablaze after India’s first medal in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024. The 22-year-old Manu Bhaker in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event, brought in a bronze to mark India’s first medal in the shooting discipline in Paris.

She started strong with 50.4 points in the first round and was in the top three right from the beginning of the event. She was in a closely fought contest with South Korea’s Yeji Kim and had a strong finish where she hit over 10 points in each shot in the final three rounds as well which confirmed her bronze medal finish.
