Actually, there is no electricity in the vegetable market located in Dubagga for the last one week. The Mandi Samiti has cut the power connection here. They say that the commission agents and shopkeepers themselves got the connection but for the last 28 years the power supply here was being done by the Mandi Parishad. Now the people of the Mandi Samiti first opposed this.
But now they say that at least 15 days time should be given. During this time, the connection will be provided by the electricity department. Because it takes at least 7 to 15 days for LESA to provide the connection. But the Mandi administration has refused to accept this as well. Due to this, the dispute between the two has increased. This will affect a population of about 15 to 20 lakhs.
The workers working here are facing the most problems.
80 percent of palledars returned
During this time, the palledars who carry goods in the market have returned due to the heat and humidity. Traders say that about 30 thousand palledars are in the market. Out of them, about 2400 palledars have returned. The palledars are facing problems ranging from water to accommodation. Even the problem of water has arisen. Apart from that, the fans installed here are also not working.
Dubagga Mandi Samiti president Lalan Yadav says that we want to work but if there is no palledaar then what can anyone do. He is facing the most problems. He stays in the mandi 24 hours a day.
In this scorching heat, the commission agents and traders are working without electricity. The vegetable market traders say that if the power supply is not resumed within 2 days, then they will boycott the work and protest.
Mandi Samiti leader Lal Yadav said that if palledars are not available then how can the work be done.
camp will be set up
Mandi in-charge Augesh Dubey said that a camp will be set up on Monday for electricity connection. But the entire work has to be done by the people here. He said that it was decided in the year 2018 that now the commission agents themselves have to get the electricity connection here. However, the traders of the Mandi Committee say that they have never received any such notice or information. Suddenly one day it was told that notices were given 18 times but the truth is that till now not even a single notice has been given.
Goods worth three crores are unloaded every day
If we add all the major vegetables including onion, tomato, potato, then goods worth about 3 crore rupees are landed here every day. There are 7 vegetables on which 1.50 percent tax is levied. After that, the tax on the rest of the vegetables is 1 percent. Earlier, greens were kept out of the tax ambit. But now they have also been included. In such a situation, the market gets at least 2 to 3 lakh rupees tax every day. On a monthly basis, this tax reaches up to 90 lakh rupees. Even after that, we are being given zero facilities. Even the condition of cleanliness has been made very bad.
Stopped ordering goods
Businessmen Gulfam and Mintu said that we have reduced the ordering of goods. We are not getting air because the fans are not working. Vegetables already get spoiled in humidity. If there is no palledaar (palledar) then who will do the work of lifting and loading them. In such a situation, the arrival of vegetables has also been reduced by 80 percent.
