A young man died in three separate road accidents in Bijnor district today, while more than a dozen people including 6 Kanwariyas were injured. Police reached the spot on receiving the information and admitted the injured to the hospital and took the body in custody and sent it for postmortem.

First accident
The first accident happened in Nagina police station area of Bijnor. 36-year-old Irshad Ahmed, son of Shabbir Ahmed, resident of village Rajopur Sadat of Kotwali Dehat police station area, was going home from Nagina late night on his bike. As soon as the bike reached near the Gangan river bridge on Haridwar-Kashipur highway in Nagina police station area, the bike went out of control and fell on the road. Irshad was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to CHC, where the doctor declared him dead.

Second accident
The second accident happened on the bypass road of Bijnor city Kotwali area. About a dozen passengers were injured in a fierce collision between two roadways buses. This accident happened late in the evening near Kali Mandir on the bypass road when a bus of Bijnor depot suddenly lost control and hit the bus of Dhampur depot from behind.

It was a good thing that the speed of the bus was not too high, otherwise a big accident could have happened. About a dozen passengers travelling in both the buses were injured in the accident and were admitted to the hospital through ambulance.

Third incident
The third accident happened late night in Bijnor’s Dhampur police station area. 6 people from Badaun district were travelling in a Bolero car from Badaun to Haridwar to collect water. As soon as their car reached near Sarkathal Madho in Dhampur police station area, a Nilgai came on the road due to which the car went out of control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road.

In the accident, car passengers Ashok son of Dori Lal, Arvind son of Radheshyam, Ompal son of Hardev, Vinay son of Ramniwas, Rakesh son of Sohan Pal, and Shivnandan son of Prempal, all residents of Gram Panchayat Dahgaon, Police Station Jarif Nagar, District Badaun were injured. Police reached the spot and immediately admitted all of them to CHC, where Arvind and Rakesh were referred to Higher Center Moradabad due to their serious condition.

Police and administrative officials reached the spot and speeded up the rescue work and cleared the jam from the accident site. The injured are being treated and the police is investigating the matter.
