This is how the crowd of devotees looked outside the Mankameshwar temple.
Today is the second Monday of the month of Sawan. A large number of devotees reached Shiva temples to worship Lord Shiva and perform Jalabhishek. Devotees reached all the Shiva temples including Mankameshwar temple situated on the banks of Yamuna, Koteshwar Mahadev temple situated in Shivkuti and Shiv Kachhari.

At this time, in the month of Sawan, a large number of Kanwariyas are reaching Shiva temples with Kanwar. They are reaching Baba Vishwanath Temple, Nagvasuki Temple, Padila Mahadev and other Shiva temples in Varanasi with the water of Sangam. Some are performing Jalabhishek with Gangajal, while others with milk or sugarcane juice.
Police force has been deployed in all the Shiva temples in view of the crowd of devotees. Paramilitary personnel have also been deployed in Mankameshwar temple.
