District Magistrate Durgashakti Nagpal conducted a surprise inspection of council schools in Lakhimpur Kheri on Monday. She reviewed the quality of education, cleanliness, attendance of students and teachers. During this, DM inspected the primary school and upper primary and secondary schools of Block Behjam.

DM inspected the quality of education, mid-day meal and cleanliness system in PS Ratasia. He asked the children of class 3 and 4 to recite tables and tested their knowledge by making them read a Hindi book. He made the children of class 5 solve maths questions and applauded the children who gave the right answers.
The DM clapped for answering the question correctly.
The DM also verified the attendance of the children from the attendance register and, on finding less attendance as compared to enrolment, instructed teachers and parents to increase student attendance.
During the inspection of UPS Ratasia, assistant teacher Purnima was found teaching the first lesson of the book “Krishi Vigyan”. The DM expressed strong displeasure over this and directed the ABSA to get an explanation from the teacher. Apart from this, the DM also visited other classrooms and checked the educational level of the children.
The DM made the children solve mathematics questions by writing them on the blackboard.
