Before going to the Olympics, he said- I want India’s jersey

Before going to Paris Olympics, PM Narendra Modi met the players. During this, Manu Bhaker said- I am representing the country in Olympics for the second time. In 2018, there was the first edition of Khelo India Games. In that, I won the gold medal with a national record. Only after that I came in the TOPS core group. Since then, all I wanted was India’s jersey. I want to play for India.

Manu’s mother Sumedha said- “Manu has worked very hard to win the medal. Manu used to stand for 12 hours and work hard. I was always with Manu. I used to take care of Manu’s food and drink. I used to think about what to give Manu to eat. To prepare for the Olympics, Manu Bhaker did not participate in any party or celebration for 4 years. Her entire focus was only on the game. She did not even go to anyone’s birthday party.”

Sumedha said- ‘After the Olympics, we will give you all a surprise. I will not tell you all about it right now. In October-November, we will put up a show in front of you and Manu will present it. My only wish for you all is to stay connected with your children.’

I had a son first, I wanted a daughter
Manu’s mother Sumedha also revealed many interesting facts about Manu. Sumedha said, “I got married and a son came to my house, but I had a deep desire to have a daughter. I used to teach OT in Bhiwani College.

When I was pregnant, I used to pray to God to give me a daughter. When my son was small, I used to dress him in daughter’s clothes. I wanted Lakshmi in my house. Because when there is a daughter in the house, the house becomes cheerful. Whenever Manu goes out, the son is at home, the husband is at home, but there is no joy in the house. When both the son and the daughter are at home, there is so much happiness in the house, we keep laughing the whole day. That is why every house must have a daughter”.

Manu’s success will boost the morale of those children who are working hard in shooting. 20 thousand children from Haryana alone are working hard in shooting”.
