Dharmendra Kumar, the owner of the cattle, said that he had informed the electricity department officials many times that the electric wires on the electric poles in the village have become very weak. They can fall anytime and cause any accident, but the electricity department did not pay heed to it.

The victim said that he earns his living and that of his family by selling buffalo and cow milk. This morning the victim was going from home to tie his cattle in the barn. Just then the electric wire broke and fell on the cattle. They died instantly.

Electricity should be restored by repairing the wires

There was a lot of anger among the villagers against the electricity department. They raised slogans of ‘Down with the electricity department’ and ‘Down with the electricity department’. Meanwhile, Executive Engineer of the electricity department Jitendra Nath says that the matter is being investigated.

He said that first of all, the electricity system should be restored by repairing the wire where it is broken. Information about the incident has been given to the Electricity Department Directorate.
