In the House, MLC Ashutosh Sinha said that Allahabad in UP is considered a big ‘hub’ for preparation of government jobs, but now that charm is no longer there. Due to lack of jobs, the youth are now shying away from preparing for the exam. More than 50 thousand posts of teachers are vacant in the state, this information was given by the UP government itself to the Supreme Court on 12 June 2020.
Then the government had said that there were 51,112 vacant posts of teachers in primary schools, after that every year thousands of teachers retired and the number of vacant posts increased. Its appointment process has not started since the year 2018.

Echo of women employment in the house
MLC Ashutosh Sinha said that if we talk about the availability of employment among women, the situation is even worse. The unemployment rate among women in Uttar Pradesh is 22.6%, whereas in May-August 2017, the unemployment rate among women was 16.9%.
If we look at the data year after year, we find that the unemployment rate among women in UP has not decreased but has increased. If we compare it with the year 2017, we will find that the unemployment rate among women has increased by 5.7% in the last seven years.
Employment Minister accused of misleading the House
The MLC accused the Employment Minister of misleading the House in front of the Speaker. He said that in response to my question in the House, the Minister has told the Labour and Employment Department that no action is taken in the matter of getting any government job.
Whereas on the website of employment, links and forms for getting government jobs and related applications are clearly available, which makes it clear that the minister is giving wrong answers to the House so that he does not have to give figures. The government is not only misleading the House but also the youth and unemployed of the state.
