Indian players will compete in 6 sports at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday. Indian stars like star badminton player PV Sindhu, Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain and experienced archer Deepika Kumari will be in action on the 5th day of the ongoing Games in Paris.

In the women’s trap category of shooting, Indian shooters Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari will aim to make it to the finals. Today there will also be a medal event of this event. Both will play two more rounds of qualification on Wednesday before the top six shooters qualify for the final. In the men’s category of the same event, Prithviraj Tondaiman shot a perfect 25 in the last two rounds of qualification but still finished 21st. He had finished 30th on the first day.

2. Badminton: Sindhu, Lakshya and Prannoy will play group stage matches
In badminton, Indian shuttlers will play group stage matches. In women’s singles, PV Sindhu will face Estonia’s Kristin Kuuba. In men’s singles, Lakshya Sen will play against Indonesia’s Jonathan Christie and HS Prannoy will play against Vietnam’s Duc Phat Le.

3. Table Tennis: Akula’s match with Singapore’s Jian Zeng
In the women’s singles category of table tennis, Sreeja Akula will play against Jian Zeng of Singapore in the round of 32.

4. Boxing: Lovlina and Nishant will play round-16 match
Two Indian boxers will be in action in boxing. Tokyo bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain will take on Norway’s Sunniva Hofstede. Men’s 71kg Nishant Dev will play Ecuador’s Jose Gabriel Rodriguez Tenorio in the Round of 16.

5. Archery: Veterans Deepika and Tarundeep will play Round of 64 matches
In archery, India’s experienced archers Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Singh will play the round of 64 matches. The performance of these two players in the team event of archery has not been up to expectations.
