In Jalaun, three miscreants on a bike robbed a gold and silver merchant of cash and gold worth lakhs of rupees at gunpoint. This incident created panic in the area. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigating the case.

Bullion trader Vishwanath Gupta, son of late Shyamlal, a resident of Sadar Bazaar, has a gold and silver jewellery shop in the bullion market of Kalpi town. After closing the shop on Thursday evening, he was going home in an e-rickshaw with 50 thousand rupees in cash and a bag containing gold worth 3 lakh rupees and jewellery worth 20 thousand rupees, when he reached near Santoshi Mata Temple, Purani Mahmoodpura Chowki Sadar Bazar in Kalpi town.

Then three miscreants riding a Pulsar bike put a gun on his temple and snatched the bag containing money and gold and silver jewellery from Vishwanath Gupta and fled from the spot. This incident created panic in the area as soon as Kalpi Kotwali’s in-charge inspector Nagendra Pathak and area officer Dr. Devendra Pachauri came to know about it. They reached the spot with the police team and started investigating the case.

The bullion trader said that he was going home in a rickshaw after closing the shop. Then three miscreants riding on a bike put a gun on his head and fled with a bag full of jewellery and cash. CO Dr Devendra Pachauri said that efforts are being made to find out about the miscreants from the CCTV cameras at the place where the incident took place and the accused will be arrested as soon as possible.
